MINNEAPOLIS—When Jan Vogel arrived at QFC this past Sunday -- she thought she had a pretty good idea as to where the food items were. "I've been shopping at the Twin Cities QFC for over 10 years now, but I was really having a tough time finding things okay," explained a visually confused Jan.

Grocery"It took me almost an hour just to find some Zipfizz for my brother Tom, who's been feeling really tired lately...and I was also looking for some Grapples that my mom told me about. I guess they taste like grapes, but they kind of look like apples. I just don't know."

employeeWhen Steve, a longtime QFC employee, approached Jan -- he knew something was wrong. "I asked Jan, who I didn't know at the time, if she was finding everything okay, and she said 'yes.' I felt obliged to ask because she had been in the dairy section for well over an hour -- and her cart was completely empty. I usually wait until people are in the check-out line before I ask them that, so I was really thankful that I didn't have to help Jan find things okay."
